Meet Shadow Lift’s Inventor
In the heart of Texas, just north of Houston, I’ve built a life grounded in my relationship with God, a dedication to my family, and a passion for commercial remodeling and buildouts. The essence of my work has always been about improving environments for my clients and finding creative solutions to everyday challenges. Shadow Lift came to life from one such challenge.

My eight-foot truck bed was more than adequate for most jobs, but with a toolbox mounted in its midst, hauling larger materials like drywall, plywood, and longer lumber became a hassle. Elevating the toolbox with a wooden block crossed my mind, but the permanent change and its appearance didn’t sit well with me.
Always having had a soft spot for heavy machinery and innovation, I envisioned a different approach. I integrated actuators with a unique framework, which allowed me to raise the toolbox to just the right height. This ingenious mechanism not only created space for up to 18 sheets of ¾” plywood but also allowed for the truck's gate to close effortlessly. And, to my delight, when the toolbox was lowered, it acted as a natural clamp, securing the materials without the need for any ties or straps.
What I love most about Shadow Lift is its subtlety. When it’s not raised, it’s virtually invisible, blending into the shadows and allowing my truck to maintain its elegance, perfect for both work and leisure.
I founded Shadow Lift with the belief that our trucks can be both stylish and utilitarian. Thanks to this innovation, many can now experience the best of both worlds, ensuring efficient, secure, and aesthetic transport of large materials.
